Update on my quest

I've been considering, and it seems my search for stardom and a the subsequent life of ease that would follow could take many forms. Among them are the following:

-get a major record deal with current band and make a platinum album (judging by the pop music of today it can't be that hard)
-become the trombonist for a professional tap dance company
-join a comedy troupe with some fabulous (and tumor-splittingly funny) people
-start a new band of experimental rock/punk/grunge/jazz/blues/rap/showtune music
-stand in the middle of some street in nothing buy my underwear and a cowboy hat and play on an American flag colored guitar...wait...already done (also, okay for Times Square, cause for arrest in GC)
-a combination of the above.

So with all these options I'd say I've got a shot.

i want to be a rock star

I'm sitting in my apartment right now with the enchanting beats and melodies of the Glenn Miller Orchestra speaking to me from Steve's computer (currently Bugle Call Rag). I've just read two sad blogs in a row from two people I would like to consider very good friends, about how teaching isn't really cool sometimes. I am currently an English Education major at college, so this has been quite encouraging for me. Not to worry though, I have a plan. I've decided to become a rock star. I'm going to stop doing everything I'm doing now and focus on beginning a successful, life-long career playing music, because honestly, what could possibly be better than that in a world? Of course, I'll need some help. (Trav, this blog applies most specifically to you. I figure this way we can solve all our problems...new job for you, fame and money, and most importantly a creative outlet for both of us...mostly I intend to use your amazing abilities for my benefit, while also spending some quality time). I have a band right now and we have some killer tunes, but everyone's just so busy...I feel like this needs to be done quickly.

So prepare, world, for the tropical storm of harmonic emotion that's about to hit you.

Special thanks to the providers of background music during the composition of this blog:
The Glenn Miller Orchestra
Blues Traveler
Billy Joel
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
The Blues Brothers
Phish

(a weird list, I know, but all very important)
